Well the big show is almost here. NAMM 2009! Being that Hellfire is about eDrums, that is what we will be looking for. We will keep an eye on the regulars like Roland and Yamaha, but he will also be looking at what’s new will 2Box, RET, and Alesis.
There’s rumors of a possible Roland TD-4 drum module and set to replace the aging TD-3, will it happens who knows but we will be watching.
Also on the radar is Alesis, which has stated this on their website:
Alesis is coming to the Winter Namm show. Winter NAMM is the largest music industry show of the year and the Alesis booth is going to be the place to be for latest in all-new e-percussion, recording gear.
Can’t make it to the show? Stay tuned to this page when the show starts for the latest images, video and news directly from the show floor!
Right now the only new e-percussion product the Alesis has shown is there new “Pro Kit” which is nothing more than a eDrum set without a module.
Hopefully Alesis will be anouncing they are coming out with a new drum module to replace the aging DM5, but there is no proof of this yet. 2Box
Of course we are all looking forward to the new DrumIt Five by 2Box. Hopfully, they will have a lauch date for the US market.
As far as what’s on tap for the other companies, I guess we will have to wait and see. They all seem to be tight lipped about everything, so hopfully that’s a good sign of thing to come.
