I was wondering too whether Pearl rebranded the DM10. I had a part of the ansmwer by hearing that Pearl is the “reseller” of Alesis products in Europe…

It is an Alesis product and Alesis is working with Pearl. The basic sound set is most likely the same but, the sounds may have been tweaked a little differently for the default kit assignments on the RED box. I heard sounds in that Pearl video that sounded just like my DM10 but, the kit names were a little different. So, you could say, its not 100% the same but its about 99% the same.

So do you know if this module is a purely Alesis product or is it a hardware realised by third party company and sold to Alesis or Pearl to adapt it on their own stuff ?

Anyway, it is exactly the same sounds that come from the RED BOX than those on the DM 10 !

I guess Pearl could have a slightly different firmware but, based on the video? I’d say yes. I’m 95% sure it is single zone.

so the pearl hihat is a single zone hihat? just like the alesis dm 10 pro hihat?
