Hey what is the Difference between a the ALESIS SampleRack Electronic Drum percussion Sound Module and the ALESIS DM5 Drum Module What would you recommend of these two

  2. The major difference is the DM5 was made back in 1996 and the SampleRack is new. Alesis no longer makes/or supports the DM5. The DM5 is a closed system. Meaning you can not add your own or new sounds to it. The SampleRack on the other hand will allow you to add your own and new sounds via an SD card.
